Hemant is a Managing Partner at General Catalyst and founded its Silicon Valley operations. Hemant invests in founders who have the potential to change entire industries, including health care. He was involved in founding Livongo, a platform for chronic care, and Humedica, a health analytics company that was acquired by Optum. Hemant is also the founding investor in Fractyl, a medical device for curing metabolic diseases, and Corvia, a medical device for treating diastolic heart failure. His other investments include Stripe, Snap, Gusto and Color Genomics. Hemant also serves on the board of Khan Academy and has five degrees from MIT.
